Flowers, sea views and a slow island day.
A short ferry ride from Fukuoka, then one easy island park with flower fields, old streets, little animals, food and local souvenirs.
Loose plan
One island, no rushing.
The nice thing about Nokonoshima is that we do not need to hop between lots of places. Take the ferry, bus up to Island Park, wander the flower fields and old street, eat something simple, then browse the port before heading back.

Best part for our October dates: the guide lists early-blooming cosmos from early to mid-October, with around 500,000 flowers. Because bloom timing moves with the weather, we should check the live flower update shortly before going.
Places worth wandering
What I would actually save
The Island Park is the main attraction. These are the parts worth keeping in mind rather than trying to cover every corner.
Memories Street · 思ひ出通り
The little old-fashioned street inside Island Park where the udon shop, cafés, pottery, craft shops and small experiences are clustered.
Entrance torii + six Jizō
Small details rather than major attractions, but they fit naturally into the walk towards Memories Street and make the park feel more local and old-fashioned.
Mini animal area · ミニ動物園
A small animal area with goats, rabbits and other animals. Keep it as a quick optional stop if we happen to pass it.
Slow hilltop walk
Leave time for the hilltop lawns and sea views rather than only taking photos in the flower field. This is the part that makes the island feel like a real escape from the city.
Pottery + little experiences
The guide highlights pottery shops and pottery experiences around Memories Street. Nice if something catches our eye, but not something we need to book the day around.

New for 2026: the park's pink flower-inspired original cider, currently ¥450 and sold at park shops.
Memories Street crafts
Pottery, little handmade items and local goods. This is the best place inside the park for a casual browse.
Getting there
Short ferry, easy island bus
From Hakozaki, head towards Meinohama, get to the ferry terminal, take the 10-minute boat to Noko Port, then use the island bus up to Island Park.
Nokonoshima Island Park

Adult admission: ¥1,500
Ferry: ¥230 one way for an adult
Ferry time: about 10 minutes
The island bus is timed around the ferry and runs from Noko Port to Island Park, so we do not need to over-plan the transfer.
